While testing is minimal, I still think driver feedback is important to car design and development. I get the impression that Kimi doesn’t offer much of that. Neither does Alonso . They have talent to drive around problems, but are less equipped to fix them. Just my $0.02. I could be wrong.

Kimi actually gives good feedback, he doesn’t bullshit. It’s just like Ferrari, they started with the wrong concept this year. Mercedes and Red Bull have nailed it, but Red Bull just doesn’t have the power needed.

Red Bull has never had the power needed, but this year they didn’t nail the rest of the car either. They took a step back with the chassis and aero, didn’t work well with the rear tires especially.

However, they are catching up in that department and could surpass Ferrari very soon.

As for Honda, they have exceeded expectations. They are arguably as powerful as Renault with some believing they have surpassed them.

More importantly, Honda has been reliable, which is something that has hurt Red Bull more than anything these last couple of years with Renault.
